Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 20-year-old male, and I measure 5' 7" tall and weigh 160 pounds. I have recently experienced itching all over my body for roughly three days now. I do not have any allergies before. My skin looks normal, without any rash or bumps. The itching occurs most at night but also occurs irregularly throughout the day. I have not experienced any other symptoms apart from the itching. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and I can understand your concern. I would like to know the answers to the following questions in detail to suggest you a proper treatment. Do you have any history of scabies or mite allergies? Are the web spaces of the fingers or toes involved? Are there any similar complaints in the family members? Do you have any fever? Do you have any drug allergies or food allergies?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have never had scabies or mite allergies before. The itchiness sometimes occurs in my fingers and toe web spaces, but not only in those areas. The itching occurs most often in my scalp, arm, back, chest, and upper thigh. But there are no visible rash or bumps though. I do not have a fever. I do not have any drug allergies or food allergies before.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I would give you the following suggestions that include Tablet Teczine-M (Levocetirizine Hydrochloride and Montelukast Sodium) once at night after food for seven days (if itching is present). Use Dersil AF (Ketoconazole) body wash or KZ (Ketoconazole) soap for a bath for one month. Apply 5 percent Permethrin cream on day one and day seven at night and wash off after eight to 12 hours. Avoid activities that cause sweating. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions. Maintain proper hygiene. Regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you very much for the reply. I really appreciate it. You can also tell me if you have any other information or suggestions.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I would also like to suggest the following. Apply 5 percent Permethrin cream below the neck all over your body (except face and genitals). Wash the clothes separately in hot water. Iron the clothes regularly. You should avoid sharing your personal belongings. Hygiene plays a crucial role. Regularly change pillow covers, bed linens, bedsheets. Avoid contamination. Wear loose, comfortable thin cotton clothes. You can use a scalp shampoo twice weekly for six weeks (if you have an itchy scalp). You should avoid any possible trigger factors like risk factors like sweat, dust, environmental allergens. You can follow up after seven days. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
