Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am unsure if the pain I am having is from grinding my teeth or my wisdom teeth coming in. I have pain only on the right side of my mouth, mainly in the back near my jaw. I also recently got over a minor sinus cold, so I wonder if this is also to blame.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I will be helping you out with your issue certainly.

It looks like you have not got any X-rays or orthopantomogram (OPG) done, right? The back of the jaw pain-which you are feeling, can I know if it is the upper or the lower jaw you are specifying? It is quite possible that bruxism or night grinding will also aggravate jaw pain and the facial muscles. It is quite possible. But the pain you experience backside will be because of the wisdom tooth's inability to erupt or your sinus infection in the upper jaw. Both pains can have detrimental effects, so please follow up with me regarding whether it is your upper or lower jaw pain for the exact line of treatment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
