Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have jock itch for the past one week. It is continuously burning and itching near the groin area. The scrotum is scaly, and I have constant burning in the buttock region. I am using Clotrimazole for the past two days. Can you prescribe some medication?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It could be pediculosis pubis. Are there inflammatory annular or round lesions with elevated margins? Any oozing from the margins? Any swelling or inflammation, itchy papules, or nodules present? Do you have intense itching? Excess scratching and rubbing of lesion? Attach the picture of the lesion for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly. Candid is not effective if it is a tinea infection.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have attached some pictures hope this may help you to understand the condition better. I am in a lot of pain and unable to work. Please suggest me something. I am keeping it dry and open.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Take tablet Emanzen D (Serratiopeptidase and Diclofenac) twice daily for three days (when pain), Luliconazole cream twice daily at noon and evening for 30 days. Use Candid cream (not candid B) at night for 15 days, tablet Fluconazole 150 mg once in a week for four weeks, and Fucidin cream at daytime for 15 days. Avoid scratching or rubbing lesions as it may cause secondary bacterial infection. Take tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg twice daily for 15 days (when itching) and Ketoconazole soap (KZ Soap) for bath. Keep the area dry as much as possible as wet areas favor fungus growth. You can use Candid dusting powder to keep dry. Wear loose cotton inner-wear. No friction or irritation. Use Aveeno moisturizer on the scaly area. Maintain proper hygiene.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
