Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weigh 70 Kg. A few weeks back, I discovered a jock itch on my groin and tiny rashes on my inner thigh. About two weeks back, I had unprotected sexual intercourse with my partner, who had a urinary tract infection. After a few days, my penis started itching, and I developed rashes on my glans penis. The rashes are smooth and scaly in consistency. Recently, while showering, I noticed a part of my penis is whitish and has tiny rashes that are itchy. I do not have any discharges, nor do I have pain while passing urine. I do not have a fever or sore throat. The jock itch is approximately 45 days old. I am currently not on any medication and have not undergone any tests.

What can this be, and how can I get rid of it?

I am worried, please suggest a solution.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

As you have mentioned, the main symptoms are rash, itching, and scaling. Hence it is suggestive of a fungal infection of the glans penis. I suggest applying a topical antifungal cream such as Clotrimazole or Luliconazole. I would also suggest avoiding tight clothing and opting for loose-fitting undergarments. If there is no improvement, I suggest consulting your specialist doctor, discussing with them, and taking the medicines with their consent. I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
