Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My wife has been denying me regular sex for three years now. I have worked on the various issues she mentioned, such as dryness (lubricant), low libido (Spanish fly), privacy (when the kids leave for school), not in the mood (limiting frequency to once or twice a week), pain (increased foreplay and making sure she is ready), etc.

Unfortunately, she still skips the weekly schedule arbitrarily, and I realized that this could be a control game in the bedroom. She is 49 years old, and I am 53 years old. I do not know what else to do.

Consulting a gynecologist was the only part of his advice I had not applied. This situation has impacted my marriage, made me vulnerable to explicit content on the net, and threatened to wreck my marriage. I even noticed some pain in my scrotum which was relieved when she agreed to have sex with me. I concluded the pain could be from an accumulation of semen in my testes.

My wife is in postmenopausal period and has hot flashes daily.

Kindly advise me on this.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The refusal of sex is purely psychological denial. You have to try to win her mind and convince her of the need for sex in marital life. If she has any reasons for denial, such as disinterest in you or the process of sex, she should be clearly and lovingly explained about the solutions and try to correct them. If all these fail or she's unwilling to understand, the following solution is only counseling for which she should willingly come. Take care and update me on your progress.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
