Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I cannot go to the bathroom without taking a laxative. I am passing only liquid stool. I have the urge to go and feel it close to passing but can never actually pass out stool. This has been going on for three weeks. I have had no changes to my lifestyle or diet and would pass stools normally before. Currently, I am taking Amitryptiline and Cetirizine. Kindly help. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed your query. You might have functional bowel problems as per the history. My advice is you need to take a more fiber diet and fruits, restrict junk foods and oily foods from your diet, avoid stress, yoga with meditation will be beneficial for your condition. I suggest you take Aristozyme (Diastase and Pepsin) capsules can be prescribed for functional indigestion problems. You should restrict the use of laxatives as per my advice. You should consult a gastroenterologist for examination if needed, and an abdomen ultrasound scan can be done for further workup. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
