LFT stands for liver function test, which is a test done to measure the amount of enzymes and proteins excreted by the liver. This test checks the levels of liver enzymes like alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and proteins like albumin and bilirubin.
