Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 60-year-old breast cancer patient for four years. My CT Scan and MRI reports show a lobulated hypodense lesion 0.9 x 0.9 inches (APO X T) in size in segment V of the right lobe of the liver closely abutting the right radical of the portal vein. It is also showing an arterialized pattern of enhancement and washout out of contrast on port venous and delayed phases. Another lesion is noted in segment II of the left lobe of the liver, having the size of 0.3 x 0.3 inches (AP X T). Tiny calcified granuloma is also seen in segment III. Moreover, a round fat density lesion of size 0.35 x 0.31 inches is also seen in the right adrenal gland. Kindly suggest me some treatment. I have undergone CP, PT, alpha-fetoprotein, PCR, and PTT. Currently, I am taking Femara, Lowplat, Omega, Neodipar, Levopraid, and Tenoret.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

We need the opinion of a liver surgeon on whether surgery is possible for your tumor. A PET-CT (positron emission tomography and computed tomography) scan of the whole body is advisable to rule out metastasis. An opinion of the gastroenterologist is needed for the treatment of HCV (hepatitis C) infection. If the surgeon feels it is inoperable, we need to consider other options such as TACE (transarterial chemoembolization) or SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy). You can start Sorafenib if your alpha-fetoprotein is elevated.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
