Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The patient is suffering from loose motions. Kindly help me to deal with it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

How many motions are you having in a day and since how many days? It is likely to be enteritis.

Most importantly have ORS (oral rehydration solution) 100 to 200 ml with each stool and keep yourself rehydrated. Drink liquid as much as possible. You should also visit a hospital to assess hydration status and whether you need IV fluids. You should get prescribed capsule Vizylac or Sporulac sachet three times a day for five days, tablet Norflox TZ (Norfloxacin and Tinidazole) two times a day along with some antacid like tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast once a day for five days. If stool frequency is too high, we can also start some medicines for reducing stool frequency.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

We have been using these medicine till now. The patient is diabetic and got her eye operated recently.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please let me know the details of the problem, since when, how many times and since when is she having these medications. Any weight loss is there or not, is there any history of intermittent constipation?

Usually, these medications take two to three days to act. He should also get a prescribed tablet Racecadotril 100 mg whenever needed up to three times a day to reduce stool frequency and quantity up to a maximum of seven days. If it is long duration, loose motions since a month or more, then it is an altogether different problem and needs evaluation.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
