Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 26 years old and recently I am facing a situation where I get an erection from hand stimulation but no sensation. The color of the glans penis is looking purple not pink totally as it earlier was. On abstaining 10 days from masturbation, light amount of sensitivity returned but purple color is still present. I have the habit of masturbation but never experienced any loss of sensation. How I can regain my sensations on the penis completely?

I am currently on Vitamin E, Nano Leo, and Cialis 5 mg.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concerns about the loss of sensations and change in the color of penis.

First of all, we need to rule out subjective components in regard to change in sensation and color. I mean to say that sometimes we feel there is change in color or sensation but on examination, no such abnormality is detected. After the examination, it is concluded that there are subjective/psychological things rather than the real problems. So it is atmost essential to have a complete examination to yield the required results.

In case, if I assume that the change is real the possibility is that the nerve or vessels are damaged due to excessive pressure or another things such as recent surgery, trauma, accidents if any. This is because nerve supply is responsible for sensation while the blood supply is responsible for the color of the penis.

In such a scenario, we need to have the rest for penis extending two to four weeks. This may ultimately solve the problem. It is also important to avoid pressure during masturbation and use the soft and lubricated hand rather than the dry hand.

I hope this helps you.
