Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 29 years old and married. I have a low AMH level of 1.16. Actually, my periods are regular. The doctor gave me Meprate 10 mg to use for 10 days because of some discomfort. After that, my period changed and is not coming regularly.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I have reviewed your query. AMH shows ovarian reserves actually. The normal level is 1.5 to 4.0 ng/ml if it is less than 1.0 ng/ml then it is considered as low or less ovarian reserves. Sometimes hormones disturb cycles as well as body responses like irregular bleeding. If want to conceive better to try soon. If want to regulate cycles can have a tablet of norethisterone 10 mg twice daily from day 4 to 26 days for three cycles and have regular bleeding for three months.

  1. After that try for conception if you wish to as with time AMH could drop further and will reduce fertility if decreases in level as shows lower ovarian reserves.
  2. Have a healthy diet, less salt, sugar, oil, and spice, and daily walk and exercise to have a normal BMI and weight.
  3. Have folic acid daily 0.4 mg if no chronic health issues. If have diabetes or epilepsy then take 5 mg daily.
  4. Have complete treatment of any health issue you have.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
