Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had panic attacks for the last ten years, which reoccurred a few years ago. I had episodes of tachycardia during these time frames, and I have some apnea symptoms like occasional sleep paralysis, tiredness, and a sore throat. All this leads to a high BMI and poor sleep elevation, but apnea did not appear during an examination. My blood pressure is fine, and I occasionally take 200 mg of magnesium before bed, with PQQ and Ubiquinol. My issue today is that sometimes when I wake up, my heartbeat is slow, and I can hear both halves of the heartbeat. My heart rate would have been 50 bpm, but the interval between the different expand-contract is sometimes as low as a second. Is this normal, or am I just noticing this?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. You are totally fine. If your heartbeat is as low as you complained, you will not hear the beat instead. But anxiety most times makes us think it is beating abnormally. I suggest you to keep a healthy diet and exercise regularly. You will do just fine. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
