Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old male weighing 64 kg. I was diagnosed with psychosis and depression, and I did not have depression before the problem started two years ago. I took the antidepressants, but after I stopped, it came back, but this time I am a month off without the medications. I was on a medication called Clonaprime (Anafranil) 25 mg, and the doctor reduced it to 10 mg. Last month he told me to stop taking it, and the problem is my libido did not come back. Is it going to come back? What should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your situation.

Yes, your libido will be normal within four to six weeks. I suggest you try to follow the below guidelines to deal with your sexual problem. These will help you:

  • You should exercise daily for 30 to 45 minutes, like at least going for a walk. It will increase your libido.
  • You should do meditation for 20 minutes daily, sit at one place in a comfortable position, and try to concentrate on your normal breathing. Do not stop or force yourself to stop your thoughts. Just let them be, and it will reduce your stress.
  • You should eat healthy home-cooked food and avoid junk food.
  • You should sleep enough for seven to eight hours daily.
  • You must avoid tobacco or alcohol, or any substance abuse.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please, let me know if you want some help.

Thank you.
