Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am in my mid-thirties, and I want to increase my sexual stamina. I do not feel sexually excited. Please tell me how to increase my sex hormone, and give me some medicine in powder form.

I have been taking the tablet Thyronorm 125 mcg.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Your problem can be due to the following reasons:

  • Diabetes, hypertension: Make sure your blood pressure and blood sugar levels are under control. If you are already on medications, then share the medication names.
  • Hormonal disturbances: Low testosterone levels, low levels of thyroid hormone, high levels of prolactin hormone. Go for TFT (thyroid function tests), prolactin, and testosterone hormones tests.
  • Obesity: Plan for regular exercise and yoga.
  • High cholesterol: Get your lipid profile checked and plan for regular exercise.
  • Chronic disease or on any prolonged medication: If yes then share the details.
  • Anxiety can also cause libido issues.

I advise you for the USG (ultrasonography) pelvis to rule out pelvic infection, thyroid check-up of free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone), lipid profile to know the cholesterol levels, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar).

Since you have hypothyroidism, we need to think of the thyroid issue and make sure that your thyroid levels are under control. Kindly share more details regarding this, so that we can work on the cause and the treatment.

You can use the tablet Mildfil 5 mg twice daily as a temporary solution.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
