Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had diabetes for the last five years, and I also have depression. I am taking tablets Glimepiride, Metformin, and Voglibose for diabetes. But I lack energy and stamina, and my sexual power is low. Kindly suggest Unani medicine for these symptoms.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I have seen the details mentioned (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity). Your fasting glucose is very high. Postprandial glucose also is 200 mg/dL. The HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin) level is not mentioned. Anyways from the glucose levels mentioned, it is clear that you have uncontrolled diabetes. Usually, if diabetes is uncontrolled, all the associated long-term complications may manifest much earlier. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is one such effect. There is no information given on dietary patterns, the extent of daily exercise, blood pressure, serum creatinine, urea, and lipid levels. I would also like to know whether the mentioned weight (77 pounds) is correct and are you too thin? I would like to tell you that the current medication is too inadequate, and an upgrade is required. Kindly revert in case of further queries. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
