Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 33-year-old male, and I underwent a semen analysis and semen culture last week. I came to know that my sperm count and motility is low. But, my semen culture report is normal. I am currently taking CoQ Forte. Do I need to consult an andrologist? Kindly suggest your opinion.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern. I see that you have not mentioned the count and motility percentage. If it is a little bit low, you can benefit from specific measures. I suggest you do the following. Quit addictions like smoking, alcohol, paan masala, etc. Do not use a laptop on your lap. Stay away from heat and chemicals, and wear loose underwear. Do a cold compress on your testicles daily. If you are overweight, then lose weight. Take Multivitamins, Folic acid, and Vitamin C. However, if the count and motility are very low, you will need blood tests, sugar PP (postprandial), TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), testosterone, estradiol, etc. Then depending on the reports, the treatment is decided. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply. I have attached the semen analysis report for your reference. The ejaculation was after two days of abstinence. I do not smoke or have any other addiction, but I do spend a lot of time on the phone, about ten hours daily. Can you suggest medications for my issue? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The sperm count and motility are in the normal range, but normal morphology is low (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Therefore, I suggest you to follow the measures that I mentioned earlier. I hope this has helped you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
