Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 32-year-old married man and I have a habit of masturbation once in a day since the last 13 years. I have no problem with erection or excitement but I am unable to conceive my wife. We have been married for the last two years. I have had sperm analysis and the sperm count is 25 and motility 30. Is this okay or do I need to worry? Will I be able to conceive my wife or am I infertile? Kindly advise as to what has to be done.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Masturbation is a safe habit, and it does not cause any problems like reduction in counts. So, you need not worry. Your counts are in low range, and the motility is also low. Though there are chances of conception, this may become a little difficult. Try to have sex after two to three days of abstinence and you will get positive results. Low sperm counts do not mean that you are infertile.

Thanks and take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

On which days after menstruation, should I have sexual intercourse? If I have to take two to three days of abstinence on which day, should I make it? Kindly elaborate.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If the cycles of your wife are regular then have sex between the 13th and the 15th day. The first day of menstruation is the first day of the flow. This will yield best results.

Thanks and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
