Can cell phone radiation lower the WBC count and cause a burning sensation in the limbs?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have unexplained bruises on my legs, huge fibroids, and a burning sensation in my limbs that wakes me up each night. I have a WBC count of 3500 WBC per microliter and 3.96 cells/mcL RBCs. In addition, for the past few months, I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my hands when I connect my cell phone hotspot to my iPad for work. Is this due to radiation poisoning? Kindly suggest what is the cause for my low WBC count and its treatment.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. Your WBC (white blood cell) count is not a cause for concern as it is only slightly low. I do not think radiation from your phone is responsible for the burning sensation in your hands and feet. Burning sensation in the limbs is usually due to nerve damage caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, diabetes, toxins, and autoimmune disease. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Take vitamin B12 supplements, as your RBC (red blood cell) count is towards the lower end of the normal range.
  2. Take Folic Acid supplements along with vitamin B12.
  3. Get tested for diabetes, including fasting blood glucose levels.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
