Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old female. I have acne for almost five to six years now, since my teenage. Since the very beginning, I started to develop acne first on my forehead, then on my chin area, and now on my cheeks also. Acne appears when my menstrual cycle is about to start, and then it continues. I have a severe case of acne, and I am very worried about it now as I am about to get married. I have severe marks all over my face, no matter how many products I try. Currently, I am using Clara's retinol serum. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. You seem to have grade two to three acne, which will require oral antibiotics. I suggest taking Capsule Doxycycline 100 mg once a day, after the meal. Apply Adapalene plus Benzoyl peroxide gel on acne once at night, in tiny amount without rubbing it. Use Benzoyl peroxide face wash. Follow up after one month. Avoid too many sweets, full cream milk, and chocolates. Please do not prick the lesions.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
