Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 42 years old, and 14 years back, I consulted a doctor for cystic swelling on the right side of my lower jaw. The doctor cut the bone on that side and removed the teeth. Unfortunately, the same problem started again this time, and I have numbness in this region. I consulted the doctor several times, but they could not improve it. Currently, I am taking Met-Neurobion capsules and betadine mouthwash. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It seems to be a case of nerve injury during the removal of the lesion. It would be better if you could send an old radiograph of the same region as I am not precisely able to know whether it is a mental nerve or inferior alveolar nerve damage. Moreover, tell me about the duration of numbness and how long it has been like this. Do you have other issues like problems with taste and burning or pricking sensations anywhere else?

Hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
