Measles is a childhood viral infectious disease. The marks or skin rashes caused due to the infection initially affect the face, neck and gradually spreads to other parts. The rash is flat, red, and isolated initially, extending to join together, forming a patchy skin rash. They are known as maculopapular rash, which changes from red to brown during healing. They appear two or three days after the appearance of symptoms and resolve after a week. The lesions inside the oral cavity in the buccal mucosa or inner cheek region are known as Koplik's spots. These appear white with red background.
