Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have premature ejaculation problem. Can this condition occur due to masturbation?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Quick discharge or premature ejaculation is very common and is usually not associated with any disease but can be due to anxiety. However, it can occur due to some problems with the prostate gland and thyroid hormone levels. Most often, it is a chronic problem, and medication should be taken on and off.

To control quick discharge, I suggest you follow the exercises given below:

  • Pull your muscles that you pull at the end of urination for a few seconds, then release. Repeat this several times daily.
  • Another is the stop-start technique - When you feel that you are going to ejaculate, stop the sexual stimulation and divert your mind, the penis will relax, after sometime start the stimulation again and repeat the procedure. Over a few months, you will gradually increase your ejaculation time.

Your problem is not due to masturbation. It is due to anxiety regarding masturbation. Masturbation is normal. It does not cause physical problems or sexual problems. Ignore the advertisement that mentions that masturbation causes health problems or destroys life. Masturbation does not require any treatment.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Could you please suggest some medication for premature ejaculation?

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There are several medications available for premature ejaculation. As my prescription is not valid in your country, kindly get a prescription from a certified doctor there for the same.

Take care.
