Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have masturbated since I was 17 years, and now I am 24 years old. Can this masturbation lead to infertility after marriage? Can I become a father after marriage?

Answered by Dr. Raveendran S R

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Masturbation is normal, and ninety-five percent of males do that (out of a hundred males, ninety-five males). It is just another way of having sex without a partner. It is a good practice and helps calm your mind and release happy and stress-busting enzymes. It will not harm your penis. But having two to three times a week is not an issue, and more than that can cause tiredness, loss of concentration, and a sense of infertility.

I would suggest the following ways to reduce masturbation:

  • Sex education.
  • Physical exercises.
  • Sleep adjustment.
  • Quality of sleep.
  • Healthy and balanced diet.
  • Programming for leisure time.
  • Development of spirituality.
  • Take a cold bath.

For tiredness or decreased strength, I suggest capsule Astymin Forte (Multivitamin and Essential Amino Acids) once in the morning and tablet Shelcal (Calcium and Vitamin D3) once in the night after food for thirty days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
