Common "Albuminuria" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Albuminuria

Albuminuria is the presence of albumin in urine, which is due to renal dysfunction. Healthy kidneys do not allow albumin to pass through urine. However, a damaged kidney enables the passage of the albumin in the urine. It is an important marker for diagnosing kidney disease and also to determine the progression of the disease. It is detected by dipstick test and albumin-creatinine ratio test.
