Common "Baby Vomiting" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Baby Vomiting

Baby vomiting is of concern if it is prolonged as it may result in dehydration. Gastroenteritis, infant reflux, pyloric stenosis, food allergy, meningitis, and intussusception are the causes of baby vomiting. Vomiting leads to dehydration which is manifested by fewer wet napkins, dry mouth, and tearless crying. Dehydration can be managed by giving sips of water, frequent breastfeeding in breastfed babies, and lactose-free formula milk in formula-fed babies.
