Enema

An enema is a method of injecting fluid into the lower bowel through the rectum to excrete the fecal matter when there is severe constipation and stool cannot be pushed out normally. Enema administration is used for lower bowel cleaning. Cleansing and retention enemas are the two types of enemas, of which cleansing enema is used for flushing out the stool and retention enemas help in stimulating the bowel movements.
