Fungal Infection Of The Mouth Or Throat

The most common fungal infection of the mouth or throat is a thrush. It is caused by the candida group of fungi. One may suffer white elevated patches inside the mouth and throat which are fungal growth in those areas. Generally, it goes away with antifungal drugs but one may suffer pain and burning inside the mouth and down the throat. Those with poor body immunity are more susceptible to fungal infection of the mouth and throat.
