Common "Low Egfr" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Low Egfr

eGFR measures the kidney's ability to filter toxins or wastes from the blood. When eGFR is low, it indicates that the kidneys are not functioning efficiently. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) helps determine any kidney disease, its stages, and severity. A normal eGFR is 60 and above, but when eGFR is less than 60, then it may be a sign that the kidneys are not functioning well.
