Common "Rem Sleep" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Rem Sleep

REM sleep or rapid eye movement sleep is a stage in our sleeping process. When we go to sleep, the brain and the body undergo a cycle of changes switching from one stage to the next, till we reach the deep sleep stage. REM sleep happens around one and a half hours after one starts sleeping. At this stage, the brain is fully awake but none of the muscles will move voluntarily.
