Surgical Excision Of Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids occur due to swollen veins in the rectum and anus, causing discomfort and bleeding. Hemorrhoidectomy is the surgery done to manage hemorrhoids. It is done under general anesthesia. Incisions are made around the tissues of the hemorrhoids. The swollen vein inside the hemorrhoid is tied off to avoid bleeding, and then hemorrhoids are removed. It takes about 2 to 4 weeks for a complete recovery.
