TIIFA (targeted imaging for fetal anomalies) or fetal anomaly scan is used to diagnose congenital abnormalities of the fetus and is taken between the 18th and 22nd week of pregnancy. It is a three-dimensional or four-dimensional scan that examines the fetus from head to toe. It looks for the growth of vital organs, amniotic fluid level, congenital disabilities, chromosomal deformities, placental placement, and fetal movement.
