Trichomonas Infection

Trichomoniasis or trich is a common non-viral sexually transmitted disease. A parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis causes this disease. Men typically have no symptoms, while women with trichomoniasis may experience a foul-smelling vaginal discharge, genital itching, and painful urination. It usually does not go away on its own. Oral anti-infective medications like Metronidazole or Tinidazole are effective against the parasite that causes trichomoniasis.
