Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am getting diarrhea for five days in a month. Also, I always have loose stool. When I consulted my doctor I came to know that it is irritable bowel syndrome. I would like to get it cured through Ayurveda medicine. Please suggest me a treatment.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) has become a common problem nowadays. The main reason for IBS is outside food. A chronic infection caused due to unhygienic food results in IBS. Avoid outside food completely for six months and include two cups of buttermilk in your daily diet. This is an excellent intestinal cleanser. Cut down spicy and oily food. Take more fruits and vegetables, but avoid taking raw vegetables. Walking, breathing exercises and meditation are very beneficial in IBS. You need at least six months of ayurveda treatment for a complete cure of IBS.

I suggest you a general set of medicines like Kutajarishtam (Kutaja, Draksha, Kashmarya) three tablespoons with six tablespoons of water after food twice a day and Vilwadi Lehyam (Vilwamula, Guda, Honey, Ginger, Chitraka) one tablespoon twice daily before food. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and take the medicine with their consent.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
