Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 39 years old. My weight is 160 pounds. I have been taking L-Pride, Nuanxit, Rabefit, and Rabifast-DSR since last 15 days. After taking these medicines, I am experiencing low sex drive and problem in erection. Do these medicines have something to do with these symptoms? If no, then what may be the possible causes of that? Can I use Sildenafil citrate? If yes, what amount and with what name it is available?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read and understood your problem.

Levosulpiride and Flupenthixol can cause problem with erection. This is the cause of erectile dysfunction in your case. Sildenafil citrate (Viagra) is usually prescribed at a dose of 50 mg three hours before sex. But, it should be taken after clinical checkup including blood pressure.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Those medicines were suggested by a gastroenterologist for one month to cure colitis. I have a question; will it become normal once I stop taking these medicines? I mean will I be able to get erection once I stop taking Levosulpiride and Flupenthixol?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, it will be normal after you stop taking Levosulpiride and Flupenthixol. The side effects are temporary, but may take one or more weeks to become completely normal.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
