Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Which oil is safe to use? There are many theories and so I am confused. Some chocolates and snacks have trans fat content as 0.01 or 0.02 % or OZ, are they safe to eat? Do you have any suggestions for chocolates and snacks brands which are healthy without toxic chemicals? Which is the good time to drink tender coconut water without disturbing digestion? Milk sometimes gives me bloated feel and also triggers bowel movement. What is the good alternative to get equivalent calcium? I am trying to drink cumin water daily for good digestion. Is it better to heat it directly in water or powder it and then heat in water? Latter has any better advantage in terms of nutrition? When is it good to drink it?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

1. Soy bean, rice bran oil, peanut oil as well as olive oil are good for use. 2. When you eat readymade chocolate and snack then trans fat is available in this food items. Healthy snacks are rice pied, muesli, dhokla, vegetable brown bread sandwich. 3. Mid morning is good time for drinking coconut water. 4. You can take soy milk instead of cow or buffalo mill. Finger millet (ragi) and spinach both are rich source of calcium. 5. Take cumin water early morning and use whole cumin. Also use ajwain water instead of cumin water for better digestion. Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

What is the maximum temperature to use oil? I learn that dark chocolate is very good for health. Is that true? Mid morning typically we would be in office. Is it fine to store coconut water in bottle and drink? I do not like soy. Is it only spinach or any other greens we could take? Because, I have digestion issue with such greens too, if I take too much. Regarding cumin, you mean to use whole cumin instead of powdering it while boiling? Also, I drink only the water, not the cumin. Can you please elaborate on preparation?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

1. Smoking point of ground nut oil is 430 degree Fahrenheit or 230 degree Celsius. It is neutral smoking point. 2. Early morning take one glass of water and add half teaspoon of cumin seeds and boil water for five minutes. Then maintain it in normal temperature and drink. 3. Please drink the coconut water as soon as possible. Do not freeze it for more than one or two hours. 4. Instead of spinach or finger millet you will take Amaranth seeds. Amaranth seeds are also good source of calcium. For further information consult a nutritionist online --> https://www.icliniq.com/ask-a-doctor-online/nutritionist
