Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have some weird sensation in my head for over two years. I am at a complete loss for what to do. I have seen a neurologist and talked to a few other medical specialists and none of them have any idea about my problem. It literally feels like there is something moving all around my brain. I got an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and it came back normal. So, my doctor said it was just anxiety. But, it is definitely not anxiety. Honestly, the symptoms feel like withdrawal and I have mentioned that to my doctors as well. But, they said if I stopped my medicines 2 years ago, then probably that is not the cause for my symptoms. I swear this is not just my imagination. It literally feels like there is something bubbling in my head. It does not hurt, but there is a lot of pressure involved. I feel it is very abnormal. I just want some answer. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I carefully passed through your question and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to tension type headache or a functional disorder. Your performed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is really reassuring that nothing serious is going on (attachment removed to protect patient identity). But, it cannot examine the molecular imbalance like in tension headache or functional disorder. I would suggest Sertraline or Duloxetine to help relieve these feelings. Their main action normalizes the brain cell function in the molecular levels. You should discuss with your doctor on this issue and take the medicine with consent.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Do you have any idea about the causes of such different thing? Again, this is not an emotional thing. My neurologist thought it was just anxiety and I do not think so.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. There is no specific cause. It is related to individual features and environmental factors.Emotional stress can trigger it. Anyway, I would recommend trying the above mentioned treatment options.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
