Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old male. For the last six years, new black moles have been appearing in my palms. It is not creating issues like itching, pain, etc. I just want to know whether it is a symptom of melanoma.

Please answer.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have noted your concern and I have viewed the images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). These are benign acquired melanocytic nevi (AMN). They are not a sign of melanoma. AMN may increase in number during the first three decades, which is a normal phenomenon. Generally, people who have a higher sun exposure over the years have higher numbers of AMN.

I hope this helps.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

A new mole has appeared behind my ear. I can feel that mole while rubbing behind the ear. Is there anything to worry about?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have viewed the image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It is a benign nevus. It is well-defined with regular borders, small in size, symmetric, uniformly tan to brown in color. So, there is nothing to worry about it. Please relax and do not worry.

I hope this helps.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
