Hello doctor,
My last period was on last month mid. Now bleeding is there after taking an emergency contraceptive pill at the end of the last month. Is this my period or is this just a vaginal spotting?
When can I expect my next period?
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Withdrawal bleeding is only a side effect of the I-pill, it happened due to the sudden withdrawal of hormones from your body. So it does not happen with everyone. You may have Menstrual irregularities in your case, which could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by I-pill, that is why it is a little unpredictable when you receive your next period, maybe you will get it on time or delay by 7 to 10 days. As you took I-pill on time (within 24 hours) there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case.
Take care.
Hello doctor,
Withdrawal bleeding and periods are different, right? For my next to next period, the date of my last period would be the date of periods I get this time or the date of my withdrawal bleeding?
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Yes, both are different. It would be your period date.
Hope I clarified your doubt.
