Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 20 years old female. I have a little high pressure in my eyes (I saw a specialist about this), but I get this pain in my eyes or behind my eyes. My specialist says the pain has nothing to do with the pressure in my eyes. I get pain in one eye and sometimes both eyes. I usually take a headache pill and sleep for a couple of hours, and that works fine. If I do not do anything about it, I get a regular headache and pain in my eyes. It is always my front head that is hurting. It gets so painful that I cannot see because the light hurts, and loud sounds are painful. Sometimes I feel pounding in my head. This happens two to three times a month. Do I suffer from migraines, or does it has something to do with my eyes? Or maybe it is just normal?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. This can be due to increased pressure in your eyes, as mentioned, and you feel such pain. I am not sure about migraines, but they can be associated with your vision, so I suggest you visit an ophthalmologist and test for your eyes. They will use a direct or indirect ophthalmoscope for a complete examination, and by tonometer, they can check eye pressure which is known as intraocular pressure. So if it comes normal, then we can suspect a migraine. If not, it can be associated with the eye, and maybe sometimes glasses are required. So please for further management consultant ophthalmologist.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
