Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 19-year-old girl. I was having irregular periods with a maximum delay of 45 to 60 days. But now, I did not have my periods for more than four months.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

How long have you been observing prolonged cycles or has it been irregular with progressive prolonging? If you have been treated for any disease, better to have full treatment. Do one pelvic scan to rule out pelvic pathology. Have hormonal tests such as

1. Serum testosterone.

2. Serum LH and FSH.

3. Serum prolactin.

4. Serum progesterone.

5. Thyroid function test.

6. Serum insulin on day-2 of periods.

Do you notice any abnormal hair growth and increase in weight recently? If yes, all these are signs of polycystic ovaries. Collect all reports and check with your gynecologist to start treatment. Do have exercise, yoga, walking daily with healthy nutritious balanced diet. Avoid recreational drugs and have recreational activities.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
