Hello doctor,
My partner got her periods three months back. She has a regular period cycle of 28 to 31 days generally. After four days, we were close together but there is no penetration just using hands but for safety purpose, she took unwanted 72 the next day. Then after 10 days, she got mild bleeding for three days. After that, till now she did not get her periods. 10 days back we got blood hCG done and it came negative (less than 0.6). She is very stressed and feeling weak these days. For past one week, she is feeling pain like periods but getting no periods. For the past two days, white water discharge is taking place. We are very stressed about her health. Kindly help us as fast as possible.

Emergency contraceptive pills are hormonal pills that can irregulate bleeding pattern, can give spotting, erratic bleeding, etc. After unprotected sex she had a withdrawal bleed and serum beta hCG (blood pregnancy test negative). Now she is not having periods as per schedule. White discharge with smell and or irritation could be candidiasis. She can have a high vaginal swab and after that pessary, Canesten per vaginal can be used at night to have a clean vagina.
Collect HVS (high vaginal swab) result and discuss here or with a local doctor. She can repeat beta hCG for her satisfaction that would be more likely would be negative if not any recent unprotected sex. If periods do not come in a week can have a menstrual induction (tablet Norethisterone 10 twice daily for seven days and wait for bleeding for 1 to 2 weeks) it becomes negative. Combined oral contraceptives pills can be taken for the next three months cyclically to regulate the cycle. Do not get stressed.

I have a query. Is this white water discharge a sign of upcoming periods in few days or something else? This white discharge is clear and almost continuous like water from two days and she has no irritation.

There are some normal vaginal secretions as well those can increase naturally genetically, before menses, at ovulation, fertilization, implantation, stress, or excitement. White painless,symptomless discharge could be seen before menses as well in some ladies naturally as I described above. But if you send high vaginal swab it will be clear either it is normal secretion or due to some infection or need treatment. Overtreatment can also cause symptoms like a dry vagina, reduced libido, etc. If you want to wait for HVS result and remains symptomless then can take Canesten pessary if candidiasis comes in the result.
