Hello doctor,
I am a 20-year-old female, and I have just missed my period. I am currently on day 41 or 42 of my menstrual cycle, and my period got delayed by 12 days. I have undergone two pregnancy tests after I missed my period, and both have come negative. I have a stinging sensation on the right side of my lower stomach. I am getting worried about my period. Please help me.

Do not worry, as your pregnancy test is negative. Delay in periods might be due to some hormone disturbances. You might have stinging pain due to a cyst, urinary tract infection, or colitis. I suggest you undergo an abdominal ultrasound and take Primolut N (Norethisterone) tablet twice a day for five days. I think your periods will occur five days after you stop taking the tablet Primolut N.
