What causes missed periods, nausea, heartburn, and mouth ulcers?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I missed my period last month, and till now period has not come as it should have started. But the gap is more than 35 days now. I have never experienced this thing before. I am a virgin. I have not had sex, but however, there was some physical intimacy with my partner. I read on the internet that it is possible to conceive in this way. Because of this, I feel very stressed. I feel nausea, heartburn, and a suffocating feeling which I guess is because of stress. I read on the internet about breast changes as signs of conceiving, I somehow feel the softness in my breasts, but no pain and I guess they appear to be in larger size. I also have some mouth ulcers. Other than this, I do not feel any other thing. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

If there was no direct contact between the semen and the vagina, then do not worry. There will not be a pregnancy. Sometimes periods might get delayed by one or two weeks because of some stress or recent illness, so I would suggest waiting for one more week. You will get your periods even in between.

Hope this information helps you.

Feel free to ask further queries.

Thank you.
