Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My last period was on the 14 day of the last month.

The period was supposed to come on the same day of this month but I did not have a period yet.

I am a virgin (no vaginal penetration in the past) however, I have had anal sex.

I took a pregnancy test also seven days back, after my period was late and the test came out to be negative.

Also, I do not have early pregnancy signs.

How accurate is the test? Could I possibly be pregnant?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your concern in detail and I will surely help you out.

If you are a virgin and you never had vaginal penetration sex then you cannot be pregnant. Be 100% assured of this so this leaves us with other causes of missed periods or delayed periods which include stress, excess exercise, thyroid diseases, prolactin disorders, ovarian disorders.

You will need a few tests and once the diagnosis is confirmed, you can be easily cured with treatment.

Trust me, you just need the right diagnosis and the management.

You can discuss with your local doctor or with me further as to what medications and tests are required.

Hope this helps.

Kindly revert back in case of further queries.

Thank you.
