Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have red lines on the roof of my mouth. I have had this before, and the doctor said it was just an infection that would disappear. It has been a few years, and I have red lines again. This time, there is more. Maybe a bacterial or viral infection? Could it be strep throat? My throat hurts like a sore throat, especially at night. But the lines themselves are not painful. Kindly suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your question I can understand your concern. As per your history, it could be a bacterial or viral infection, most probably viral if you are associated with generalized body pain and fever. I suggest that it could be a bacterial infection. You need to take antibiotics for a week at least. The attached picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) is not clear. If you upload some pictures taken in natural light it will be easy for me to provide you with a proper diagnosis. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
