Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old. I bit my mouth while eating and my jaw hurts since yesterday evening. It is swollen, and now it is whitish yellow in color. It is painful and it has become worse. Do you have any clue of what this might be? Kindly suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There might be some infection in the affected area. At times, pain and swelling can be due to inflammation. So, my suggestion is to consult a dentist and get evaluated. For now, take some anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and do cool compresses over the swelling. Take soft diet. Suck ice to reduce inflammation. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
