Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had painless mouth ulcers on the floor of the mouth for over three weeks. I also visited a dentist, and he gave me medicines, but it was not cured. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

As per your history, it can either be because of deficiencies like vitamin C or due to recurrent trauma. It can be dangerous too. As you said, it has been there for three weeks and has not gone after taking medication. I will recommend you upload a picture taken in natural daylight so that I will provide you proper opinion. It is rare to have dangerous ulcers like a tumor at your age, so you need to get it properly checked to rule out any such thing. If you have any swelling below your chin, also get that checked. Avoid cold drinks and hot and hard foods like apples and wafers for a week.

I think it is probably a traumatic ulcer due to some hard food.

Hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
