Hello doctor,
I have tics such as head hitting, neck and back jerking, and twitching, among others. I sometimes get verbal tics, too, where I make noises or shout. I am 17, and they are starting to get harder to suppress, and I am not diagnosed with anything. I talked to my doctor, and he just gave me a website to look at, a general mental health website with some quizzes on what you know about mental health. In short, he feels invalidated. He did no tests, and he did not even ask me to come and observe some of my tics. He has never seen them before on previous visits because until now. I had always tried to suppress them and let them out when I was alone, but I have learned to accept them now because it is too hard to suppress them anymore.

I would not ignore these symptoms right away. Instead, I would suggest to get an MRI brain along with an EEG (electroencephalography) to check for any brain issues which may or may not be causing the tics.
If everything is normal, I would suggest to involve yourself in some form of activity or the other, be it physical or mental, and keep yourself away from all the negative feelings/people. Always learn to be happy and free from tensions and anxiety. Also, ignore and try to forget that you have tics. Try this for a month or two, and you shall see the change.
If anything is picked up on MRI brain or EEG, management will change based on the diagnosis.
