Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I get frequent nosebleeds, but they stop sooner. But for the past weeks, the nosebleeds have kept recurring. Last two episodes, I had heavy bleeding and took time to stop. So I am taking NyQuil pills and Ricola cough drops. I also had Plan B tablets once.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Nosebleeds are very alarming symptoms. You need to consult an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist and take an endoscopy. In the meantime, I suggest you tablet Tranexamic acid 500 mg thrice daily for three days to control the symptoms. Avoid birth control pills, as it causes thrombosis.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
