Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am taking Paroxetine for depression and anxiety. However, I stopped taking it for two weeks, and now on resuming I feel extremely nauseous and lightheaded. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

You may have GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disorder) due to medications. If you abruptly start with a high dose or suddenly stop the medication at a high dose then it may give you withdrawal symptoms. So you must start any medication under your doctor's supervision with a low dose. You can add a capsule of Omeprazole to deal with your nausea and light headache. However, please consult a physician, discuss with them, and start taking the medications with their consent.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you want some help.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
